Christina Aguilera Fragrance

I get a lot of samples to review, and this time I selected to review Christina Aguilera's fragrance.

This was Aguilera's first fragrance and was released in 2007. The bottle is available in a 30ml or 50ml bottle and is an elegant shape, with intricate detailing on the glass. The glass is quite thick and does not feel like it would instantly break if I were to drop it (however I have not tried this!) and the lid is a solid plastic and feels quite robust. The fragrance is also available as part of a gift set, accompanied by body lotions, however I have not tested the body lotions.

The fragrance is easy to apply with a spray nozzle and produces a light, refreshing mist. The bottle is comfortable to hold while applying due to it's long, thin shape.

The actual smell is light and fresh with floral and vanilla tones.

I applied this to both my neck and wrists, however unfortunately, the scent does not last very long and became almost unnoticeable after about an hour. Constant re-application would probably be necessary in this case, resulting in quick consumption of the fragrance.

I am not a huge fan of Christina Aguilera, so in all honestly, I do not think I would have chosen this fragrance based on the brand, however the fragrance is pleasant and promiscuous and is suitable for daytime or evening use.

This perfume is currently selling for £14.99 at the Perfume Shop, however it's best to look around first as Wilkinson and ASDA are competitive alternatives.

Spring 2012 Fashion

I was watching This Morning this morning and, as always, I LOVE watching the fashion and styles they show because they are affordable and current. Don't get me wrong, but there are always things that I think 'Oh dear, I would not wear that!' (sorry!) but this morning, I was pleasantly surprised!
Well done Mr. Glen Campbell for your selection!

Items that were featured include...

Bag: Monsoon, Green Mac: Hobbs at John Lewis, Orange dress: Oasis

The important thing to remember when you;re trying to rock out a bight colour, such as the green mac, is to ground it with a dark colour, such as a black top underneath, to balance the look.

But the thing that REALLY caught my eye?

This man...
I've always loved him, so when I found out that this man (Gok Wan) has his own clothing line at TU, Sainsbury's is was thrilled (how was I not aware of this?!) and next season he is due to release a series of brightly coloured items, including a gorgeous shift dress, only £40!

Unfortunately, Gok's new line hasn't been released yet (expected at Easter) so I can;t get any pictures to show you... YET. I'll upload one once I find one.

I will definitely be waiting for this to be released.

1) The last person I texted was my boyfriend, telling him that I got to uni ok

2) The last time I cried was last weekend - I was overwhelmed, not sad.

5) The last DVD I watched was 'John Tucker Must Die'.

6) The last time I went abroad was when I went to Spain in 2003. I travel around lots in this country though.

7) The last person I hugged was my boyfriend

Music Mondays

This week's theme 'Top 5 Songs from your Birthyear'

Oh yeah, some golden oldies coming out here! I feel old :/

Well that certainly has brightened up my Monday!

THAT Reiss Dress

Ok, so let's be honest, who HASN'T heard of the Reiss Shola dress?! Ever since Kate Middleton, sorry, Princess Kate - wore her Shola dress to meet the Obamas, people have been copying the style. Reiss sold out... twice!

Now there is no way I can afford to pay £190 for the dress (never mind the fact that it's sold out!) so when I saw this one in New Look at a fraction of the price, I was over the moon! I had a couple of parties and business events to go to, so I ordered it. Brilliant! ...Or so I thought.

As soon as I opened the package, I KNEW something was wrong... deep down I knew I wouldn't like it. Something about the jersey material just didn't make me say 'wow' and the colour! Well, it was BROWN! I hated the way it clung to me. Honestly, I think I'd have to be 4ft and super skinny because it was so short I felt uncomfortable! Really! I felt fat!

(I should've realised, even the model above looks uncomfortable!)

So after a moment of moping, I thought, sod it! I'm going to make one!

Now let me be clear here, I have never even attempted at making my own clothing. The most I've ever done is an ipod pouch and a few stitches here and there, sewing straps on to tops, so I'm super excited to see how it turns out!
